Text: Isaiah 12:2-3
“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.”
Isaiah here was making it known to what may have been the challenge, that he cannot be intimidated, because of his confidence in God as his strength and song, and ultimately his salvation. On this wise, with joy he will draw water from the wells of salvation.
Wells of salvation represent the different complements of salvation, that is, forgiveness of sin, healing, deliverance, prosperity, peace, grace, etc. This is what Jesus meant when He said: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33). They are also accompanying signs to believers: “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover” (Mark 16:17-18).
Wells of salvation is what Jesus called rivers of living water, when He said: “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water” (John 7:38). Such refreshing comes by the Holy Spirit stirring our faith.
They are wells, because each well represents one of the complements of salvation, from where we joyfully draw with faith according to our needs. So, be assured that God could not have saved you to abandon you. He owes you protection, provisions, and preservation. With this understanding, when challenges come, you trust in God as your strength, and hope against hope in faith for the miraculous supply.

As you step out today, may you draw water out of the wells of salvation, in the name of Jesus Christ.
